Kingston High School Senior Events 2025

Thursday, May 1, 2025 – Senior Head Wreath Making | 2:15-7 P.M.
All senior girls are welcome to come and make a head wreath to wear for May Day. Supplies will be provided for you, but if you have a spool of green thread bring it.

 

Friday, May 2, 2025 – May Day Breakfast | Cafeteria 7:00 A.M.
All seniors, faculty and staff are welcome to join us for breakfast, an introduction of the court, and entertainment in the cafeteria.

 

Friday, May 2, 2025 – May Day Ceremony | 12:05 P.M.
Join us as we celebrate the Class of 2025 as they prepare for graduation. All 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are invited to attend the ceremony in the Field House. The bell schedule will be shortened, and announcements will release students during 7th period. Events will include: the May Pole dance, speeches by our Queen and King, certificates recognizing our varsity team captains and club presidents, honoring our retirees, and student lead performances.

 

Senior Prom – Friday, June 6, 2025 | SPAF 169 Ulster Ave., Saugerties, NY | 7:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.
Music will be provided by DJ Dre Black. There will be a variety of foods, desserts, and soft drinks available. The cost of a ticket will be $70. Seniors, please stop by M209 during 9th period May 8th, 13th, and 15th to purchase a ticket. You will need your signed permission slip to purchase a ticket. All students will be required to take an Alco-Sensor test upon entering. All students MUST arrive prior to 8pm or entrance will be denied. All students will follow the Jefferson Code of Conduct for the evening.

 

Cap and Gown Distribution – May 27th and May 28th | Cafe. Alcove
Josten's will be handing out cap/gowns. Once a student picks up their cap/gown, it becomes their responsibility. Please check to see that you have a tassel for your cap prior to leaving the Josten's representative. If your child has not ordered a cap/gown yet, please call Josten's at 1-203-453-9000.

 

Senior Awards Night – Monday, June 2, 2025 | Auditorium – 6:00 P.M.
Join us to honor our seniors by recognizing their achievements. If your child receives an invitation, he or she will be receiving an award during the ceremony and attendance is mandatory. Parents and friends are welcome too. Many presenters come to personally hand out the award to the recipient and it would be a shame if they were not present to accept it. This is a formal event and students are asked to dress in accordance with the Jefferson Code of Conduct (jeans, shorts, t-shirts are not appropriate). Award winners will sit in the reserved section towards the front of the auditorium.

 

Athletics Awards Night – Tuesday, June 10, 2025 | Auditorium – 6:45 PM
Join us for a memorable evening celebrating our outstanding Kingston High School athletes at this year's Athletics Awards Night, where we'll honor the dedication, achievements, and sportsmanship that defined our sports programs. Come share in the recognition of individual and team accomplishments as we reflect on a year of athletic excellence and Tiger pride.

 

Baccalaureate – Monday, June 23, 2025 | The Mount Academy – 6:00 PM
This event is held by local clergy for students who choose to participate in a spiritual blessing to conclude their high school career. Light refreshments will be provided after.

 

Graduation Rehearsal – Friday, June 27, 2025 | At J. Watson Bailey – 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
Student attendance for this is MANDATORY. A student who does not attend this practice, will be excluded from the graduation ceremony. If a family emergency prevents attendance, parents must contact Mr. Briceño's office by Thursday, June 26, 2025. 1-845-943-3707.

Graduation – Friday, June 27, 2025 | Dietz Stadium – 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
Students are to report to J.W.B. no later than 4:00pm to line up. Proper attire is mandatory: Sneakers, jeans, shorts, flip flops, and high heels are not permitted.
Students who act inappropriately, will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony and can receive their diploma at Kingston High School on Monday, June 30, 2025.
