Freshman Orientation 2026 — Kingston High School

 

Greetings to the students and families of the Kingston High School Class of 2030. On behalf of our staff, I would like to welcome you all to Kingston High School! Our Cohort Team at Kingston High School works collaboratively to address concerns related to social transitions, attendance, and academic achievement, especially for our incoming freshmen. Our Cohort Team at KHS includes the following people:

On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, there will be two Freshmen Orientation sessions, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Please choose the session that is convenient for you and follow the schedule below when you arrive, based on your choice. Attending the orientation will give you the opportunity to meet the Cohort Team who will work with students during their four years. In addition, students and their parents are free to tour the buildings to find their assigned classrooms.

The information sessions will cover the team's vision for our students, expectations for parents, and answer any questions your family may have. Moreover, students will be receiving their schedules, IDs and, if needed, YONDR replacement pouches. KHS continues to be a cell-phone free learning environment. In addition, all 9th grade students will pick up a new Chromebook. To receive a new Chromebook, the 8th grade Chromebook will be returned with new completed paperwork (both can be done at orientation).

Although the start of high school is an exciting time, it can also be challenging. However, when students, parents, and school staff work together, students are empowered to reach their true potential, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals. I look forward to seeing you at Freshmen Orientation and anticipate a successful first year at KHS for the Class of 2030!

Session 1

Parking is accessible within the Salzmann lot, using the new Main Entrance. There is also parking in the bus turn around. Salzmann can be accessed by Broadway to Andrew Street.
